Generally
the virtues and importance of Rudraksha is estimated by
its facets. According to mythology one faced Rudraksha
is the symbol of Godhood, Supreme Truth, Attainment t
of Eternity. Two face Rudraksha symbolizes Grace of
Ardhanarishvara (Bi sexual God) Lord Shiva & Parvati
Mata. It is worn for happiness and peace in the house
and for the success in marital life. When the three
faced Rudraksha (Grace of Agni) is worn, the wisdom of
the wearer is increased. Similarly Four faced Rudraksha
(Grace of Brahma) should be worn to get rid of mental
diseases, worries, tension etc. Five faced Rudraksha
(Destruction of homicide sin) is useful in cardiac
diseases and for heart trouble. Six faced Rudraksha
(Attainment of Chitta-Suddhi and Jnana) is worn to
destroy sins. Seven faced Rudraksha (Saptamala) is
beneficial in getting good health and wealth. Eight
faced Rudraksha (Grace of Ashta Vasus or Ganga and
becoming truthful) destroys obstacles and nine faced
Rudraksha (Grace of Nava Saktis or Nine powers) gives
earthly pleasure and salvation. Ten faced Rudraksha
(Attainment of Peace) is useful to pacify nine planets.
Eleven faced Rudraksha (Increases of all kinds of
wealth) gives worldly pleasure. So he who wants worldly
pleasure should wear it. Twelve faced Rudraksha
(Attainment of Moksha) is the most important to the
persons in high offices Intellectuals. Scientists,
doctors, vaidyas who are engaged in chemical and medical
researches should wear thirteen faced Rudraksha
(Attainment of fulfilling desires and grace of Cupid).
Fourteen faced Rudraksha cures all kinds of diseases.
Being cured, the wearer enjoys the life like the god
Indra.
One Faced Rudraksha:
One faced Rudraksha is itself Lord Shankar and it is the
main among all Rudrakshas of all faces. It is ruled
by
the Sun. This Rudraksha enlightensthe super
consciousness - "God". God is only one - He is
the Truth and consciousness. "EKa meva Dviteeya
sadroop". One faced Rudraksha is the symbol of the
supreme God it is accepted by all.
It
brings power of Dharana to the wearer. Dharana means the
power to concentrate the mind on an object. The wearer
of one faced Rudraksha gets his mental structure changed
and he beings to feel renunciation from the worldly
affairs and naturally inclines towards GOD. His mind
begins to concentrate on - Supreme Element. "Partattva
Dharana cha jayate Tatprakashnam". Thus the seekers
of Aatma Tattva must wear one faced Rudraksha.
According to the mythological books peace and pleasure
abide in the house where one faced Rudraksha is
worshipped. There is no fear of untimely death. Its
wearer himself is fortunate by himself. One who gets it
and worships it obtains not only all the worldly
pleasures during his life - span but also remains
unaffected by them. It is an ideal thing for the
doctors. It helps them to diagnose the disease and gives
them success in surgery too.
This is the best in all faced Rudrakshas. One faced
Rudraksha is found in two shapes round and the half moon
shaped. Round Rudraksha is found in Nepal while the half
moon shaped is found in Rameshwaram. From the point of
view of importance there is no difference between them.
Therefore, it must be real and pure in whatever shape it
may be. The cost of round one faced Rudraksha is many
times fold as compared to the the half moon shaped
Rudraksha but it is a very rare item and often faked .
So more and more people are turning to half moon shaped
variety for its genuinely .
Rituals for wearing :- One faced Rudraksha should
be capped with gold or silver and should be worn round
the neck or be placed at the worshipping place, chanting
"Om Namah Shivaya, Om Hreem Namah". The man
should wear it on Monday. Getting up in the morning the
devotee should salute the one faced Rudraksha first,
pronouncing special Mantra. Such a devotee remains
unaffected by misfortune and enjoys many pleasures.
Note :- There are many notions about One faced
Rudraksha such as it is hardly available or there grow
two or three pieces of Rudraksha. One of them disappears
in the sky, the second one is given to the king of Nepal
and the third one faced Rudraksha is mixed up with the
prasaad of the Pashupati temple in Nepal. These are only
hearsays. It does not happen so. One faced Rudraksha is
found less than the other Rudrakshas.
Two
Faced Rudraksha:
Two Faced Rudraksha has natural two lines or faces.
It is oval in shape and is available in two varieties -
Nepal
and Haridwar (India) . Its ruling planet is Moon.
It is the symbol of ArdhaNareeshwara, a joint image of
the Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati (Shakti). In this
image we see both in one body. It
It
brings unity like the family unity in form, speech and
Meaning.
Being
capable of getting riches and virtuous off springs by
wearing two faced Rudraksha, it's wearer becomes capable
of leading peaceful and sacred family life.
Its wearer's family finds the reverence and faith
continuously increasing among them. Removing the
differences of opinions between the Teacher & the
pupil, the father and the son, the husband and the wife,
and friends, it establishes unity between them.
Rituals for wearing :- Taking three beads of the
two faced Rudraksha and fastening them with red thread
and touching it with the idols of Lord Shiva &
goddess Parvati and chanting "Shree Gauri
Shankaraya Namah", 'Om Namah'. It should be worn
around the neck on Monday.
Three Faced Rudraksha:
Three faced Rudraksha has three natural lines. Its
ruling planet is Mars. It is the symbol of god Agni
(fire). The
Agni (fire) purifies every thing in the same way, the
wearer of three faced Rudraksha gets rid of the sins
that he had done in his past life and returns to the
purely true life. It is the best for those who have
fallen prey to inferiority complex or fear stricken and
suffer from self hatred or mental strain.
In
a short time after wearing it, the wearer feels its
influence by attaining success in his efforts, favorable
means, learning and knowledge. Its another best virtue
which is also accepted by Modern physicists and
allopathic doctors is that it makes the wearer free from
chronic fever. It contains the Trinity of gods (Brahma,
Vishnu, Mahesh), the trinity of Gunaas (Sattva, Rajas,
Tamas) and three spheres [Sky, Earth and Paatal
(underground)] with their divine powers. For its divine
powers this bead is the most sacred, powerful and the
best.
Rituals for Wearing :- Taking three beads of the three
faced Rudraksha, wash them with the Ganges water and
unboiled milk, Chanting the mantra- " O Kleem Namah,
Om Namah Shivaya " wear them in the neck.
Four Faced Rudraksha:
Four faced Rudraksha has four linings from head to
bottom at equal distance. Its ruling planet is Mercury.
The
power of Brahma exists in its whole effectiveness and
Divinity. Being influenced by the creative wisdom of the
four headed Lord Brahma, it gives the wearer the
creative power and provides him learning and knowledge.
The dull mined students must wear it. And it is
beneficial to scientists, researchers, intellectuals,
artists,
writers and journalists. It increases wit and
intelligence. If the three beads of four faced Rudraksha
are fastened in the right hand no body can be stand to
face to the wearer.
Rituals for Wearing :- Taking three beads of four faced
Rudraksha fasten them in a red thread, wash it with the
Gangawater and unboiled milk, paint it with the sandal
wood and wear it on Monday chanting "Om Hreem Namah".
Five Faced Rudraksha:
Its ruling planet is Jupiter. It is the form of
Rudra named Kaalagni. The wealth, in the form of
learning that man
gains in the world, should be apparent and permanent
only then it is meaningful. Five faced Rudraksha is
useful for this purpose . In the long run we lose our
power to maintain the learning that we have gained and
at last it vanishes. We forget the acquired learning or
cannot remember it clearly. We can recover our
memory
and recollect or remember the lost learning only after
wearing the five faced Rudraksha. Agni (fire) purifies
the metals and similarly Five faced Rudraksha rectifies
all the vices and faults of Jeeva and makes him pure and
Jeeva gains the form of Pashupati i.e. the Lord of all
creatures after becoming free from the animal instincts.
By wearing its mala the wearer's mind remains peaceful.
There is no suspicion about the fact that the wearer of
Five faced Rudraksha mala never gets untimely death. A
mala of five faced Rudraksha is also worn. It keeps the
blood pressure normal and the fear of untimely death
disappears. If three beads of Five faced Rudraksha are
dipped overnight in water in a glass and the water drank
early in the morning on empty stomach, then the person
gets free from blood pressure and related
illnesses.
Rituals for Wearing :- Taking three beads of Five
face Rudraksha equal to the size of Amla and string in
red thread. It should be worn after touching it to
Shivalinga. At the time of wearing it, the man should
keep on chanting "Om Namah Shivaya", "Om
Hreem Namah".
Six Faced Rudraksha:
Its ruling planet is Venus. Six faced Rudraksha is
the center of the power of Lord Shiva's second son,
Kumar
Kaartikeya. It gives learning, wisdom and knowledge and
increases will power . Moreover, it saves us from the
worldly sorrows. A combination of four face Rudraksha
and Six face Rudraksha increases the mental power of the
Wearer amazingly. It is very good for company managers,
businessmen, Journalists and editors etc. Also Six mukhi
Rudraksha governs Genital organs .
Rituals
for Wearing :- Taking three beads of Six faced
Rudraksha and stringing them into a red thread and
meditating upon Swami Kaartikeya, it should be worn
chanting "Swami Kaartikeya Namah", "Om
Hreem Hum Namah". It is ideal to be worn on arms
.
Seven Faced Rudraksha:
Its ruling planet is Saturn. Seven faced Rudraksha
is the symbol of Anang Shiva. Seven faced Rudraksha is
saptmatradhi Daivat, saptashyadevat and saptmuni Daivat.
It represents Goddess MahaLaxmi . Good health and wealth
is blessed to him who wears Seven Faced Rudraksha. Those
who are suffering from miseries pertaining to body,
finance and mental set-up should wear it. By wearing
seven face
Rudraksha
man can progress in business and service and spend his
life happily.
Rituals for Wearing :- Take two beads of Seven
faced Rudraksha strung in a red thread and wear it
chanting "Om Mahalakshmi Namah", "Om Hum
Namah". It can also be kept in safe (lockers &
cash box), after chanting these mantras.
Eight Faced Rudraksha:
Its ruling planet is Rahu. Eight faced Rudraksha is
the second form of reflection of the first son of Lord
Shiva who
is Lord Ganesh and is one who is worshipped prior to
other gods. Eight linings present on it makes it a very
effective Rudraksha. Its wearer becomes unaffected by
miseries - physical, Divine or mental. It sets the
wearer free from the sin caused by telling a lie. It
gives the wearer all kinds of attainments -
Riddhies and Siddhies and leads him to Shivloka. His
opponents are finished i.e. the minds or intentions of
his opponents are changed and all obstacles in his path
are removed .
Rituals for Wearing :- Only one beads of Eight
faced Rudraksha is enough to be worn. It is strung in
red thread and worn on Monday chanting "Om Hum
Namah, Om Ganeshaya Namah".
Nine Faced Rudraksha:
Its ruling planet is Ketu. Nine faced Rudraksha is
the form of the Goddess Durga (Shakti). It contains the
power
of Nine Deities. By wearing nine faced Rudraksha the man
gets blessings from Shakti, the Supreme Mother. By this
the wearer gets endurance, bravery, courage, and his
name and fame spreads all around. His devotion in god
increases. His will power is strengthened.
Nine
faced Rudraksha gives the wearer both devotion and
salvation. Practicing rituals to worship the Shree
yantra and along with it wearing of the nine faced
Rudraksha give both the worldly pleasures and the
salvation.
Rituals for Wearing :- Take one bead of nine
faced Rudraksha, get it capped in gold or silver and
string it in red thread. It should be worn on Monday
chanting "Nav Durgayai Namah", "Om Hreem
Hum Namah". It is ideal to be worn on on left hand
or right arm.
Ten Faced Rudraksha:
It has no ruling planet, and is held to control all
the planets. Ten faced Rudraksha contains the influence
of ten
incarnations and the ten directions. The Lord becomes
happy with the person who wears it. It gives success in
legal, governmental functions and name and fame of the
wearer spreads in all directions. Honor is increased in
political areas. It is useful for pacifying nine
planets. Wearing it destroys all the sins
done
by the ten human organs . He who worships it, finds his
family progressing from generation to generation.
Rituals for wearing :- Taking one bead of ten
faced Rudraksha string it in a red thread after capping
it in gold or silver wear it on Sunday chanting "Shree
Narayanaaye Namah, Shree Vishnavai Namah, Om Hreem Namah"
Eleven Faced Rudraksha:
Eleven faced Rudraksha is regarded as the light mass
of Lord Rudra (Eleven Rudras). For the devotees of Lord
Shiva it is the most effective and most successful
Rudraksha. There are eleven Rudras and the eleventh
Rudra is Lord Hanuman and taking his name ghosts and
evil spirits run away. He is full of learning, virtues,
cleverness and wisdom. Therefore, all these virtues are
filled in the man who wears this eleven faced
Rudraksha.It makes the wearer strong, wise, healthy and
without disease. This Rudraksha is the symbol of Indra,
the king of Gods. It gives the wearer permanent
happiness. It means that pleasure and happiness come to
the man who worships Indra and makes him happy. It
relieves the wearer from the fear of sudden death. It
also helps in practicing meditation and religious
rituals and removes the problems of yogic practices.
Rituals for Wearing :- Take one bead of eleven
faced Rudraksha, cap in gold or silver and string in a
red thread. It should be touched to the Shivalinga and
should be worn chanting "Om Shree Rudraya Namah",
"Om Hreem Hum Namah".
Twelve Faced Rudraksha:
Twelve faced Rudraksha is the center of brilliancy,
Luster, radiance and strength of 12 forms of the God -
the Sun. By wearing it, the wearer never falls prey to
any disease, worry, fear and suspicion. It gives the
wearer money, knowledge, riches and all the earthly
pleasures. It is found miraculously effective.
Its wearer gets the royalty i.e. kingship. It is the
most useful for the administrators. The man who wears
Eleven faced Rudraksha, gets administrative capacity
limitlessly. He gets the quality of the sun, to move
continuously with brilliance, radiance and strength.
Ministers, politicians, businessmen and aspirants of
name & fame must wear it.
Rituals for Wearing :- Taking the bead of twelve
faced Rudraksha, it should be capped in gold or silver
and strung in red thread and worn on neck by chanting
the Mantra "Shree Suryay Namah", "Om
Krown Kshown Rown Namah". It is best to be worn
close to the throat region.
Thirteen Faced Rudraksha:
Thirteen faced Rudraksha is the form of the king
Indra. Lord Indra becomes happy, if it is worn. It gives
riches. If
a man wears it, he is upgraded, his honour increases. It
fulfils all the earthy desires and gives eight
accomplishments (Siddhies), and the god cupid (Kamdeva)
pleases with the man who wears it. Being pleased, Cupid
fulfils all the desires of him who wears it. "Kartikeya
samo gyeye sarva Kaamarth Sidhidah." This Rudraksha
provides all attainments connected with chemical
science.
The
researches of medical science reach new horizons of
success by wearing this thirteen face Rudraksha.
"Raso Rasayanam Chaiva Tasya Sarva Prasidhyati"
Nobody
can face the wearer of this Rudraksha during any debate
is also an accepted truth.
Rituals for Wearing :- Taking one bead of
thirteen faced Rudraksha, it should be strung on red
thread and washed with Spring Water or unboiled milk.
Then it must be worn on Monday chanting - "Om Hreem
Namah".
Fourteen Faced Rudraksha:
It is the Rudraksha, which is found most rarely, and
it pleases Lord Shivajee to give the wearer His company.
It is the most precious divine thing - Deva Mani. It
awakens the sixth sense organ by which the wearer
foresees the future happenings. Its wearer never fails
in his decisions. Its wearer gets rid of all the
calamities, miseries and worries. It provides the wearer
safety and riches.
Rituals
for Wearing :- Fourteen faced Rudraksha should be
capped in gold and should be worn round the neck or on
the forehead or on the arm or be kept in the worshipping
place, chanting "Om Namah Shivaye" on a Monday
morning .
Gauri Shankar:
Two naturally joined Rudraksha called Gauri Shankar
is regarded as the form of Shiva & Parvati. It is so
much full of influence that it causes the development
and expansion of universe due to its being the unified
and identified form of the Lord Shiva and the Goddess
Uma. This form becomes the cause of expansion of the
universe providing fertility. It makes the husband and
wife identify each other. Therefore it is regarded the
best thing for peace and comfort in the family. If a man
worships Gauri Shankar at his worshipping place, the
pain and suffering and other earthy obstacles are
destroyed and the peace and pleasure of family are
increased. In Puranas the bead of Gauri Shankar is
regarded the best for happy family life. A sannyasi
wearing a garland or Kantha of 32 beads of Gauri Shankar,
becomes Lord Shiva incarnate, it is believed.
Ganesh Rudraksha:
There is a kind of Rudraksha which bears Trunk like
elevation as is seen on the face of Lord Ganesh. It is
called Ganesh Rudraksha. It provides the wearer
perfection in every sphere in life and the grace of Lord
Ganesh is received by him.
Garbh-Gauri
Rudraksha:
Garbh Gauri Rudraksha is another form of Gauri
Shankar. In Gauri Shankar both the joined beads have
equal size but in Garbh Gauri one bead is significantly
smaller than the other. It is the best for those women
who suffer defects in their conceptions and are prone to
abortion. They are advised to wear Garbh-Gauri Rudraksha
around the neck to gain the pleasure to have issues and
their motherhood gets perfection.
A
man who wears a garland including beads of Rudraksha
from one to fourteen faces and the rest five faced
Rudrakshas which count hundred eight beads in all, is a
god incarnate himself. According to Puranas if a man
wears Rudrakshas in definite number at special points on
the body, he becomes like Lord Shiva himself.
