FEAR AND RUDRAKSHA

To understand fear  let us know the types of fears:

Instinctive or inherent fears

We are born with these fears. Some people are scared of dog bark, fire height, sea, lightning, thunder etc.

These fears can be overcome by applying logic and reason. Certain fears get controlled by the instinct of self –preservation.

Trained fears

These are taught to us, like the fear of the dark, insect and the boogey man. These fears are employed by parents, teachers or friends etc to keep the children in check. If  not dealt with properly they may grow to become a full-blown phobia.

Transmitted fears  

These are passed on from one to another, particularly from parents to children. A mother who is scared of cockroaches  and screams at the sight of them, transmit the same to her children.

Learned or conditioned fear

These are those which we pick up over the years like the fear of rejection, failure, criticism, public speaking, financial losses etc. We earn that if we make a mistake, the people will chide, rebuke or make a fun at us.

Imagined fears

These manifest themselves when we let our thoughts run wild. A good example is a rope seen in dark looking like snake. Darkness itself is imagined to be haunted by evil spirits, and we feel it will pop out and grab us.

Unsolved fears

It is also known as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). You find that you overreact to situations due to past bad and unresolved incident.

Shiva (Also known as Rudra-which really means fierce) is an almighty Lord of all kinds of basis responsible for causing fear. A person wearing any mukhi Rudraksha does not get fear.
